Dream Day Bays started for the simplest reason: one classic VW camper, far too nice to keep in a garage. Rob spent months restoring Edna — not to flip her, but because he genuinely loves the car. He took her to a friend's wedding, and spent the afternoon being asked the same question over and over: "can we book you?"
Rob is a family man with two children, so he understands what a big day feels like. By background he's a chef of 20 years, then an operations manager and DJ, which means he is unusually good at the two things that matter on a wedding morning: staying calm behind the wheel, and making sure the atmosphere feels right. Ask him what his favourite dish to cook is — there's a good chance you'll get a recipe before the end of the journey.
Today the camper does weddings, proms, birthdays and anniversaries across Lancashire and beyond. She is still the only vehicle we run, and that's deliberate. One camper means one standard: cleaned, polished and safety-checked before every single booking, never turned around between three jobs in a day.
Rob is your driver for almost every booking. When a date genuinely can't work, the only people who take the wheel are drivers he has personally selected, insured and driven with himself — calm, well presented, unflappable, and just as happy holding an umbrella as they are behind the wheel.
